Pernod Ricard Multi-Brand Sampling Retailer Takeover Objective:

Signature Marketing’s goal was to gain new product distribution and merchandising favor with a key independent retail group. This multi-brand sampling retailer takeover offered an outdoor, summer kick-off event that engaged consumers before they walked in the door and without occupying store space. We leveraged a unique and elaborate event format to a key retailer to stand out from other suppliers and increase customer loyalty.

Our Approach:

Signature Marketing and Pernod Ricard planned and developed a multi-brand, parking lot sampling event for Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends to book-end the summer and support new product placements within the store. Elements included branded tents, 8 featured summer cocktails, an authentic Chicago Hot Dog food truck, premium raffle prizes and lawn games on a sunny summer Saturday afternoon.  As part of its full-service capabilities, Signature Marketing scheduled staff, provided branded POS, coordinated food truck scheduling and payment, set-up and broke-down the full event footprint, contacted and delivered raffle prizes to the winners.

Our Results:

  • The retailer response was that the metaphorical bar for supplier support has been set as high as they’ve ever seen and they were excited to repeat it.
  • The retailer brought in 4 new product SKU’s for the event and long-term placement.
  • The store’s wine buyer hired Signature Marketing to handle his weekly wine tastings going forward.
